about 18 months ago I bought an LG KP501 Cookie wich seemd very good at first but after using it for a long time I can say that I'm pretty disappointed. The phone has many shortcomings but the most annoying is that from time to time the phone switches off by itself without any apparent reason whatsoever. Can anyone help me how to prevent it from happening or how to correct the issue?

After more than two weeks no one has responded me Nobody is using the phone or nobody has a solution?
I googled around a lot and I actually found that people do have this problem but no solutions were posted anywhere.
Anyway, I think I found the problem, so I'll just answer my own question:
I think my phone switched off by itself without even playing the shutdown sound because it's battery had moved from it's position.
If you have the same problem, open the back of the phone. There you will find three pins pushing against the battery (also collecting the battery power).
Take a needle with curved or twisted end (but you can also try it with a normal needle) and gently lift the three pins. Be careful not to break them!
Try lifting them until they hold the battery in place more strongly and that should solve your problem. I did this 6 days ago and my phone did not switch off ever since.
